Your place may already be on the map.

Aevum is an app that helps explorers find places with a cultural story, so your place may already be on it, and you will be able to claim that listing for free. Claiming is coming soon.

Claiming is coming soon

Claiming a listing is not open yet. When it opens, it will be free and will work like this:

  1. Find your place and say it is yours.
  2. Create an account and agree to the terms for venues.
  3. Upload a document that shows you can act for the place. We will check most documents automatically. If you send another kind of document, a person will check it.
  4. Get your Verified tick, then post promotions, coupons and announcements.

Until then, if your place is on Aevum and something is wrong, write to [email protected].

Which documents will count?

  • Businesses: SSM registration
  • Societies: ROS registration
  • Government or state museums: an official letter or registration document
  • Festival and event committees: a committee letter

If you have none of these, you will be able to send another document and a person will check it.

What we will check before the Verified tick

We will check three things:

  1. your SSM registration, or another accepted document
  2. your address, phone number and, if you like, your email
  3. your halal status, only if you hold a valid halal certificate and send it to us

Once you pass, your listing will show the Verified tick.

My place isn't on Aevum yet

Can't find your place on Aevum? Tell us about it here. We check every request and aim to reply by email within a week to say whether your place is suitable for Aevum. Sending this form is free.

We use these details to check whether your place suits Aevum, to reply to you, and, if we add it, to invite you to claim it. Required: your name, email, the place name, address and category; without them we cannot review your request. Phone, website and story are optional. If we add the place, its name, address, category and story may be shown on Aevum. Our service providers that host the site and send email handle this data for us under contract, and some are outside Malaysia. If your place is not suitable now, or you do not claim it, we keep your contact details and the place details for 12 months from our last contact, so we can get in touch if things change or if you appeal. Why is my place on Aevum without asking me?

Your place is on Aevum because it has a cultural story worth sharing. We start from public place data, and AI researches and writes the story. Nobody needs to contact us first. When claiming opens you can claim the listing for free. You can already ask us to correct it, or tell us if you are unhappy with it, at [email protected].

How do I claim my listing?

Claiming is not open yet. It is coming soon. When it opens, you will find your place, say it is yours, create an account and upload a document such as your SSM registration. When you pass our checks, you get the Verified tick. Until then, write to [email protected] about your listing.

Will claiming be free?

Yes, claiming your listing will be free. You will not pay to claim your place, to send documents, or to get the Verified tick. Optional services for venues may come later. If they do, we will explain them clearly before you choose one.

What does Verified mean?

Verified will mean that the person who claimed the listing sent documents and passed our checks. We will check three things: SSM registration or another accepted document; address and phone number, with email optional; and halal status for places with a valid halal certificate. Verified venues will be able to post promotions, coupons and announcements.

What will I be able to post after I am verified?

After you are verified, you will be able to post promotions, coupons and announcements on your listing. They will go live as soon as you post them. Explorers will see them when they look at your place in the Aevum app, next to your Verified tick.

Someone else claimed my place. What now?

Claiming is not open yet, so nobody can claim your place today. When it opens, there will be a Dispute button in the claim flow. A person will check every dispute by hand, compare both claims and reply by email.

My details are wrong, or I want my place removed. What do I do?

Email [email protected] with your place name and what you would like changed. We will ask why, then look at the options with you: correcting the details, hiding or unpublishing the listing, or removing it. We decide case by case.

Do I need a new machine or a till system?

No. You do not need a new machine, a till system or a scanner to be on Aevum. Your listing works with the way you already run your place. You will only need a phone or computer to claim it.

My place isn't on Aevum yet. Can I add it?

Yes, you can ask us to add your place with the form on this page. Tell us its name, address and category, and, if you like, its story. We check every request and aim to reply by email within a week to say whether it is suitable.
